Solomon Islands is open to leisure tourism and visitor numbers are recovering strongly, but it remains a logistically tricky destination. The main live issues are Honiara protest risk, seasonal severe weather, thin services outside the capital, and occasional payment/transport friction. Most trips are feasible, but travelers should plan carefully and expect a less developed tourism setup than in better-known Pacific destinations.
