The Gardens are largely flat with mostly tarmac paths, but some routes are gravel, lawn or steep. The Palm House accepts wheelchairs but not mobility scooters. The Temperate House, Alpine House and Princess of Wales Conservatory accept both, although the Princess of Wales Conservatory upper floor is inaccessible to wheelchairs and mobility scooters. When open, Kew Palace has an assisted wheelchair entrance and lift but does not allow mobility scooters. Accessible toilets are marked on the map near main gates, cafés and major attractions.
